The Symbolic Interaction Reading Group is open to all SSSI members. The group selects one book per seemester to read and discuss at monthly group meetings. This is an opportunity for those new to SSSI to read, evaluate, and discuss readings core to Symbolic Interaction. The group is open to classical texts and more contemporary and inovative publications in symbolic interaction. |

Call for SI Reading Group Organizer
Jiwon Yun has been an spectacular organizer for the SI Reading Group, however, the 2026–2027 academic year will be his last as covener for the Reading Group. To ensure a smooth transition, we are looking for someone to co-convene with Jiwon this Fall and/or Spring, with the goal of taking over as the main organizer for 2027–2028. If you are interested in leading or co-leading this group, please reach out to Jiwon Yun at jiwon.yun@yale.edu to discuss the role.
